Trying to inspire and reach everyone i can

Posted in Group:

I've been there, i know what it feels like to be alone, and feel like nobody understands what you're going through. Ive suffered from an illness for two years now that most people think will instantly kill me. But i've never been more healthy.... physically at least. Emotionally, that's the most damaging part of any illness... feeling alone and isolated. I am posting to reach out to anyone and everyone i can, before you get so depressed you cant go on, or feel so low that you isolate yourself, contact me, its my goal to inspire and help everyone i can through talk therapy.

I hope my video reaches you....

The ups and downs are harder than if I just stayed down all the time. I've been going through this for many many years. I believe everyone around me has had enough of me lol I don't know maybe it's just me thinking to much.

Thank you DU. Im glad I found this site. It's hard to talk to people when the only advise you get is to take a vacation Orr snap out of it.

Hi,
I'm glad I came across your post, this is a topic I never thought I'd ever see.
I'm a kidney patient waiting for a transplant. I've been divorced for about 20 yrs.
With this illness I feel so very lonely. I feel like no one would want anyone like me with this illness. Maybe because I would be a burden to them. I don't date, I guess you can say I have basically secluded myself. I don't really go anywhere, always around my family. (they're tired of being my company)
I do find myself getting depressed at times. I just don't know how to go out and meet people. I don't want to go to a night club, or any place where I might end up feeling like a piece of meet waiting to be picked.
Does that sound silly? Am I being too unreasonable?

You do not sound unreasonable at all. People always tell to go out and meet people but like you I don't want I go to a bar. Unfortunately in my line of work the people I usually meet are criminals. I have never really trusted anyone enough to start a conversation with a stranger. So I usually find myself sitting at home alone feeling like this is ll there is to life. I know how you feel.
