depakote for depression?!!

While depakote was originally marketed as an anti seizure med, like many drugs before it, it was found to help depression among other things. If you are uncomfortable with this being prescribed to you, let your Dr. know. It is ultimately up to you to take the medication and if it doesn't work or you won't use, it isn't going to help the situation. While you may want to give yourself a trial period of a few months to decided wether this is right for you, again the decision is up to you. I hope you find the answers you are looking for and the meds that both help and that you feel confident in taking.

Blessings-
